Technical specifications

Brief description of set:
Façade is a dinner show, and the main requirements for the piece are a flat floor space with rigging possibilities and facilities for kitchen or catering. The audience is seated around tables, cabaret-style. The set is a bar and a staff table – both of which are used for the performance – and a series of frames on the wall to make the studio or theatre more like a restaurant. Tables are in a cabaret layout, ideally 6ft in diameter with up to 11 chairs around each table. The venue has to have enough space close to backstage to accommodate a food preparation area that can be accessed directly from the performance space. This can be a dressing room or scene dock area. The food itself is the responsibility of the venue, but the company can advise on menu options.
Min dimensions: 12.0m wide, 12.0m deep, 6.0m high
Rigging:
Ideally the company require separate rigging points for the aerial equipment (hoop, rope, trapeze, static cloud). These points need to be of a suitable rating for flying performers (i.e. minimum 2 tonne) and distributed within the space. Three floor or wall points are also needed for securing the guy lines of the Chinese pole, which will either need to be screwed into the floor or weighted down. The show could potentially use fewer points, but this would involve paging or re-rigging during the show. The company will provide all necessary rigging for the aerial equipment.
