A new nine-strong international company composed of experienced/hardened/grizzled artists and riggers and artist-riggers, Pirates of the Carabina were originally commissioned to create Flown by Glastonbury Festival for its Circus Big Top. Now the piece is at Bristol's Creative Common, and it's worth catching if you can. Sideshow has seen a tiny piece of it in an outdoor presentation and it was great – funny and earthy and mechanically ingenious.
