A large ensemble working with circus performers, Awake Projects were at Jacksons Lane back in 2011 with an early showing of Awake, a production drawing inspiration from 'Japanese Buddhist Warriors, The Ketjak Monkey Chant and Rachmaninov to hip-hop and Kill Bill'. It's got a writer (Edward Kemp), unusually, plus a movement specialist for a director, and embeds the circus skills within a physical theatre / Lecoq language.
