Coupled with a reprise of their cathedral piece How Like an Angel, the Australian ensemble Circa will be presenting Beyond at Norfolk and Norwich Festival in the Adnams Spiegeltent. The piece is a world premiere so there's not a lot to go on (marketing sez: 'Fantastically talented acrobats both embrace and battle their inner beasts as they hang, balance and lift each other in ever more challenging acrobatic configurations'), but if the advance imagery is to be trusted it at least feels a little more colourful and strange and ritualistic/folkloric than the pared-down, neutral Circa norm.
