Combined as a double-bill for Jacksons Lane's Postcards Festival, Inverted's Tessaerae and Bikes & Rabbits' Triptych 1 & 2 are two shorter works just emerging from interesting development processes. Tessaerae comes from a formalist perspective, devising material around the notion of disrupting the movement patterns and changing up the pace of regular choreographic vocabulary, while Triptych 1 & 2 will present the first two parts of a triple vignette set in different countries (Russia, China and Spain) and eras of history, using different pieces of apparatus (trick cycle / aerial cycle; object manipulation and aerial cycle; slackrope), and basing the research and development on the stories of historical or literary figures.
