Dividing her time and her work between Finland and the UK, Ilona Jäntti is consistently one of the most interesting artists working with aerial technique and movement as a whole language — one that can take the weight of a show without artificially imposed or literal narrative forms. Here she presents a solo twenty-minute piece, commissioned by ROH2, which will see her work with three ropes — one vertical, one diagonal, one horizontal — accompanied by live cello music composed by Luke Styles and played by Louise McMonagle.
