Motionhouse, a dance company who've worked quite a lot in the past with acrobatics and elements of circus, are offering positions for four apprentices to work alongside and be mentored by the company's dancers. The successful applicants will create and perform material for The Voyage, a major outdoor spectacle that will open the London 2012 Festival (which despite the name is nationwide) in the West Midlands.
Motionhouse will be collaborating with Australian aerialists Legs On The Wall to create The Voyage, which will be a 'vivid, visual and extraordinary performance that will celebrate the courage and imagination that prompts us to embark on journeys in pursuit of our dreams'.
The apprenticeships are paid positions (£200 gross p/w, PAYE), and last 15 weeks from March until the end of June 2012. More info on appliying here. Deadline for applications is 27 January 2012; auditions will be held in the company's studio in Leamington Spa on 4 & 5 February.
