Striking out in a new direction, NoFit State Circus – known chiefly for their large-scale tented productions Immortal and tabú – last year made a show for proscenium arch theatres as part of the first National Theatre Wales programme. The piece, Mundo Paralelo, has been directed by the circus first-timer Mladen Materic (of Theatre Tattoo) and is, perhaps, more in the French style of abstract visual theatre than we're used to from NoFit State – set in a dreamy no-world that becomes the intersection of drifting, individual stories.
