As part of the fifth (bumper) edition of Great Yarmouth's Out There festival, producers SeaChange Arts are organising a one-day circus and street arts discussion and networking event on 7 September 2012 for promoters and producers interested in:
- Producing high quality work and developing talent
- Relationships between street arts and circus, indoor and outdoor work
- Growing markets and audiences
- Sharing work and building effective networks
- The value and opportunities of European Collaboration
The day's meetings will take place within the frame of two main sessions, Producing High Quality Work (11am-1pm) and Building Audiences and Markets (2-3.45pm), with speakers and attendees drawn from across Europe and including representatives of the partners from SeaChange's current roster of five major European projects.
After the meetings, attendees are invited to a performance of ArtLat’s Amazonia Spectacular at 4pm, as well as to Compagnie BAM's Switch at the Hippodrome at 7.30pm (drinks reception from 6.15pm).
The Pull Circus Inside Out meetings will take place in Great Yarmouth's Drill House, which SeaChange has recently developed as a creation centre for circus and street arts. For those that stay on after the meetings and shows, there's dinner at the Drill House with festival artists and staff during the evening and then a celebratory Drill House Inauguration at 9.45pm.
Numbers are limited, so if you're interested in attending e-mail Joe Mackintosh, SeaChange's director, on joe@seachangearts.org.uk
