Not the most popular discipline but having appeared once or twice in recent productions, hair-hanging provides the central skill and motif of Sanja Kosonen and Elice Abonce Muhonen's piece Capilotractées. The two trained in wire-walking and trapeze, respectively, before embarking on their own exploration of hair-hanging – teaching themselves, largely, and developing the piece as they went.
