Like many an Australian show, Controlled Falling Project is a boisterous, brusque, boys-only affair. Wrapped up in a fairly thin (though perfectly passable) narrative about a mad professor type who conducts experiments into gravity and physics using circus performer guinea pigs, the show is more or less a set of skills pieces: teeterboard, floor acrobatics, handbalancing, etcetera. It's not really, not particularly, Sideshow's cup of tea, but it was very successful at the Edinburgh Fringe a couple years back and delivers on its promise of light, skilful entertainment.
