Circostrada – the European network of circus and street arts organisations that recently scored another three-years of funding from the European Commission's Culture Programme – has formalised the location and dates for its second meeting of 2011: 25-28 August in Prague, embedded within the city's new circus festival Letni Letna, and organised in partnership with Cirqueon, the Czech Republic's association for new/contemporary circus.
Running alongside the Circostrada meeting – which as usual will divide attending members into working groups to debate and decide potential action on European-level circus... matters – Cirqueon will be organising the Cirkforum, a one-day event (on 26 August) that will gather Czech and European circus artists and professionals for a series of forums, roundtables and presentations. The Cirkforum is open to all professionals and will be held at Prague's Arts and Theatre Institute.
