Jean-Baptiste André, Qu’après en être revenu

If you like your festivals small, tented, curated, and in charming French villages, then La Route du Sirque in Nexon offers a nine-day programme of carefully-selected international work.

In the 2011 line-up there's Compagnie XY's Le Grand C (which can't be far off being the most toured work of 2010/11); the new work Qu’après en être revenu from darkly interior dance-circus artist Jean-Baptiste André; Cirque Bang Bang's Post, an abstract two-person juggling piece exploring space, time, movement, relation; and what looks like a very interesting piece from Cie Nova Voda / Julia Christ, Bambula, that interrogates gender identity and the idea that memory is written into the body.
