The British Council is inviting applications from UK companies and artists interested in appearing within their Edinburgh Showcase, a curated programme of work, presented in the last week of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, that connects to an associated trade fair where artists can hawk their work to visiting international delegates.
Artists applying for the Showcase must have a production which is available for performance at least five times during the dates of the Showcase, 10-24 August 2013, and which is also available for touring at least for the year September 2013 - September 2014.
Work will be programmed based on the assessment of the British Council's Dance and Drama team and Steering Group, who will need to attend performances of submitted productions before 17 March 2013. In some cases, work that cannot be seen before this date, while not appearing in the Showcase, will be formally recommended by the British Council to visiting delegates.
