SeaChange Arts, Pôle National Cirque et Arts de la Rue in Amiens and Lighthouse, Poole are looking for emerging professional UK circus artists to take part in a new commission funded by the Cross Channel Circus Arts Alliance. Five UK artists will be selected to work with the Director of Amiens Circus School and perform alongside students from Amiens at the Out There Festival, Great Yarmouth and Lighthouse, Poole in September, followed by a run at Cirque Jules Verne, Amiens for the Christmas season.
Concept of the show, The Big Bang Factory: 'Multi-national corporation ‘Global Solutions’ have a big job to do: they are tasked with creating the world. However, time is against them. The big boss in the top floor office has only given them 7 days to finish making the entire universe! Unfortunately, the work force in the factory are a motley crew of jugglers, trapeze artists, and clowns, who never quite seem to get it together.'
Artists invited to audition will be asked to perform a 5-10 minute act, then will need to answer a few questions from a panel formed by the partner organisations.
Auditions will take place on Monday 3 June 2013 10am-3pm at Circus Space. For an application form or for more details contact Creative Producer Laurie Miller-Zutshi on laurie@seachangearts.org.uk or call 01493 745 458.
