L’Entorse, a French organisation that works to strengthen the links between arts and sports, is seeking propsals for the 2012 edition of its biennial festival, La Quizaine de l'Entorse, held in Lille.
The theme of the festival will be games and the Olympics, and the organisers are specifically looking for projects that connect with the sporting communities of Lille and/or the Nord – Pas de Calais region by involving the local community in the making of the project, by working within a local sports building or grounds, and by setting the final artwork/performance within a local sport event.
L'Entorse's contribution to the project is by negotiation, but could take the form of financial production or co-production, residencies, or administrative support in establishing connections with local sports groups.
Deadline for applications is 31 January 2011. For more details on the project and how to apply see here.
