The Circus Village – four tents that travel Norway as a festival / venue / training centre / production house / school – is inviting applications from artists interested in participating in one or more of three five-day artistic laboratories for the 'development, inspiration and improvement of the ambitions of circus art creation in Norway'.
The labs will be tailored to the projects of the participants and will pair them with experienced mentors in a model similar to the (highly successful) Juggling the Arts project. The labs will be held 11-15 July in Kristiansand, 30 July – 3 August in Sarpsborg, and 15-19 August in Oslo.
You can apply as a solo artist or with collaborators, but bear in mind there are only six places available on each of the three labs. There is no participation fee. If you're interested you should e-mail Sverre Waage – sverre@cirkusxanti.no – or Vilde Broen – vilderness.production@gmail.com – with some information on your background and on the project you'd like to work on in the lab. Deadline for applications is 1 June 2011.
