Conflux have been particularly active in the last six months or so offering residencies and CPD opportunities, and they've just launched another project: Scope, an initiative to assist three individual artists or groups to complete a partially developed work of physical performance and to present it at this year’s SURGE festival, which takes place 23-29 July 2012.
The three successful applicants will receive ongoing support and mentorship from Conflux, access to rehearsal space for the duration of their piece’s development (March – July 2012), and one week’s intensive rehearsal time with multi-award-winning director Ben Harrison (joint artistic director of Grid Iron). Applicants will also receive a production budget appropriate to the nature of the work, a platform to present the finished work as part of the Scope triple-bill at SURGE 2012, and travel allowance and expenses for the periods of work with Harrison and at SURGE.
For more information on the criteria for application and how to apply see here. Deadline for applications is 22 February 2012.
