Organised by Two Destination Language and supported by the University of Winchester, FLINTsparks is an open-call initiative that will see eight new performance ideas selected for a showcase on 24 May 2013 at Winchester's Discovery Centre. Two of these ideas will then be chosen to receive FLINTwalls commissions, bagging a £1000 grant, one week of studio space at Winchester at the beginning of September (along with accommodation for the artistic team), mentoring/advice from Two Destination Luggage, and a student assistant for the duration of the residency.
The call for submissions is open to practitioners from any discipline, but the organisers are looking for ideas that 'have liveness at their core'. Ideas can be at any stage of development, from newly hatched to nearly complete, and artists can likewise be at any stage of their career.
