Oily Cart, a company who make interactive theatre for under fives and young people with learning difficulties (and who previously worked with Ockham's Razor on the show Something in the Air), are looking for a female aerial artist to join their winter 2013-2014 show Mr & Mrs Moon. 'The audience of 2-5 year olds, their family and friends sit in a circle around a giant sand pit in which they can draw pictures and build sandcastles. The Woman Who Lives In The Moon, seeing all this wonderful sand play, comes down from the sky to join in.'
The company are looking for an aerial artist with corde lisse skills and a strong singing voice. Applicants should be able to talk naturally to young audiences and get them to express themselves. Salary is £496.71 per week plus per diems and accommodation on tour.
Rehearsals for the show are 4 November - 6 December 2013. An opening run at Stratford Circus 7 December 2013 - 5 January 2014 is then followed by a national tour lasting 13 January - 8 February 2014.
