So Hope Street Ltd have scored that commission from awhile back to make a large-scale promenade spectacle for Blackpool's Winter Gardens and they're now auditioning for performers for the planned piece, Alice Through the Winter Gardens.
For a show that will 'incorporate street theatre, physical theatre, circus, music, dance, film and will be set in a variety of different eras both physically and musically', they're looking for performers of all ages who have a wide base of skills, and are interested in auditioning circus artists (particularly those who can do acrobatics, contortion, stilts and acrobalance) who have experience of interactive or street performance.
Auditions and rehearsals are split between Liverpool, Blackpool and Glasgow:
Liverpool: auditions 12 June; rehearsals 29 August – 6 September
Blackpool: auditions 13 June; rehearsals 7-9 September
Glasgow: auditions 14 June; rehearsals 22-27 August
There's then a full cast rehearsal in Blackpool 10-12 September and performances are at the Winter Gardens 13-18 September. The fee is £400 p/w, plus agreed travel, accommodation and subsistence.
