As part of the immense trail of activities coming out of the Adain Avion project (itself part of Artists Taking the Lead, which is part of the London 2012 Festival, which is part of the Cultural Olympiad), there'll be performances of Willi Dorner's much-travelled Bodies in Urban Spaces in June in Swansea.
The organisers are looking for performers to take part, particularly those with experience in physical theatre, breakin', contemporary dance, contact improv and parkour, but the piece – which sees a group of brightly-clothed dancers cram themselves into tiny urban nooks (Deutsch-Video) – suits the skills of acrobats and circus types as well.
Applications are open to any gender, and ages 18-99. Auditions are 11am – 3pm 11 March 2012 at the LC, Oystermouth Road, Swansea. Rehearsals are 24 – 28 June, and performances are on 29 & 30 June 2012. There's a flat fee of £400 for the week.
To apply e-mail s.e.crouch@swansea.ac.uk by 24 February 2012 and turn up at the LC with a CV. For more information contact marc.rees@adainavion.org
