• Pitch Cross-Artform Training Residency (Scotland)

    18 December 2012 Jobs & Opportunities
    Conflux

In the last two weeks of January Conflux will be running a Cross-Artform Training Residency at Edinburgh's Summerhall, a newish arts centre occupying the many rooms of an enormous former veterinary school.

The residency, open to professional artists of all genres, backgrounds and levels of experience, will have four interwoven strands, with each strand delivered by different residency leaders: Hilary Westlake (the overall coordinator) for directing cross-artform work, Lina Limosani for movement and dance-theatre, Kim Bergsagel for puppetry in theatre, and Dav Bernard & Robbie Thomson (85a) for lighting and use of AV. Participants in the residency will work to devise a short, site-specific promenade performance that will be shown informally at the end of the two weeks.

The residency is aimed at 'performers, directors, designers and visual artists of all backgrounds who either want to explore new skill-bases or who are seeking to learn more about working as part of team in the creation of cross-artform work', and runs 21-25 January and 28 January - 1 February 2013, 10am-6pm, with the exception of 1 February, when the final performance will take place in the evening.

For more information and to apply see here. There is no charge for participation, but you must be able to attend all days of the residency. Deadline is 31 December 2012.
