This year (as in previous years) HorsLesMurs will be running pitch sessions for artists/companies to present new projects at Festival CIRCa. There will be three sessions – one on 23 October devoted to not-French artistic projects, and two on 24 & 25 October for French ones – organised as opportunities for artists to 'express their needs in terms of partnerships, residencies, production, and co-productions' to an international audience of promoters.
The sessions run 10am-12pm, and each presenting artist/company is given ten minutes for an oral presentation (in English or French – HLM staff will provide translation) of their project's aesthetic/artistic basis, and its technical requirements and production needs. Presenters can optionally show a slideshow or short video.
For artists/companies to apply they must have a new project to be premiered in 2014/2015. Ideally, the artist/company should also have a potential commissioner/co-producer/presenter who can speak during the Auch presentation to explain their reasons for supporting the project. Even if this supporter cannot be present at CIRCa, they should provide a letter of support at the application stage. Presentation slots are limited (40 across the three days; 12 only for non-French artists) and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
