Clown, a new ensemble company made up of Circomedia and Circus Space graduates, are looking for two new members for the creation of a full-length show that will be shown at platforms and venues later this year.
Clown are interested in 'making a piece that is innovative and escapes the normal role of circus in performance but is also marketable'. Plus say that: 'While skills are a great foundation we believe creative, intelligent performance is what makes for a great show.' Ideally applicants will have some experience/training in contemporary clowning and physical theatre and another physical discipline. Auditions will take place end of February / start of March, with a one-week rehearsal period in March (dates tbc) and a view to showing sections of the work to employers/funders in April.
The fee for the work is to be confirmed pending Arts Council funding.
