Without Walls, the consortium of eight of the UK's leading outdoor festivals, has announced confirmation of a new funding deal with Arts Council England that will see it receive £940,000 through Grants for the Arts over the next two years.

The consortium has also announced its commissions and supported touring projects for 2012, with Upswing commissioned for their new show Red Shoes – a piece inspired by the imagery of the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale and centred, circus-wise, on Chinese pole – and Mimbre supported for the tour of Falling Up, a piece about gender stereotypes and extraordinary/ordinary bodies that the company have been researching for the last few years.

For the full list of commissions and supported projects see the Without Walls website.
