Without Walls, a consortium of outdoor arts festivals that each year tours a small programme of supported and/or commissioned work around the UK, has announced the ten new performances it will support in 2013.
Among them is Tilted Production's Fragile, a piece, also supported by the PASS programme, that sees choreographer Maresa von Stockert work with both circus artists and dancers in a piece set on (the illusion of) an urban rooftop garden. Tilted have been supported by Without Walls before with their 2012 production Seasaw, a clever promenade dance work that connected movement sequences inspired by the various scenes of Britain's seaside towns.
Supported work will tour as usual to the core Without Walls consortium of seven festivals, but this year WW has also announced a new Associate Touring Network, supported by Arts Council England's Strategic Touring fund (from which WW received £1,393,601), which will see the 2013 programme also included in: SO Festival in Skegness, Bradford Festival, Birmingham Hippodrome summer season, Derby Feste, Fuse Festival in Medway, Out There Festival in Great Yarmouth, Blackpool City Council summer season (from 2014), and Appetite Festival Stoke on Trent (from 2014).
