Organised and run by Carampa in collaboration with Teatro Circo Price, Madrid's permanent circus building, CRECE is an annual five-week project which brings an international group of young circus artists together to create, and then perform, a professional ensemble production. The director for this year's project will be actor, teacher and director Hernán Gené.
CRECE will run 20 August – 1 October 2012 at the Teatro Circo Price. Applications are open to circus artists who are just finishing or have recently completed training at one of the high-level (superior/professional) circus schools; applicants should have strong competency in their specialism (though not necessarily a finished act), good stage skills (particularly dance), and should be open to new applications of circus language. Applications can come from individuals or from small groups of up to four people.
Participants will have all their living expenses paid in Madrid, some money for travel expenses, and a work contract with a weekly stipend of 270€ before tax. Deadline for applications is 10 May 2012. For more info on the project and how to apply see here.
