Last seen at the Roundhouse's 2012 CircusFest, John-Paul Zaccarini's circoanalytic solo performance-lecture Circus on the Couch will be presented at Circomedia's St Paul's Church as part of a double-bill also featuring Jonathan Priest's Knot Circus. At CircusFest JPZ's lecture was very engaging — a multi-angled presentation of his research findings following a PhD spent reflecting on his own career in circus plus interviewing other artists — while Knot Circus (another solo) sounds idiosyncratic and engagingly strange.
