Commissioned by the wily National Theatre Wales, Mundo Paralelo is NoFit State's (more or less) first attempt at a circus-theatre piece for a traditional stage. It follows on from a series of workshops with directors and choreographers in early 2010 that were aimed at expanding the company's language, and one of the workshop leaders, Mladen Materic, is director for the new piece. NoFit's last two big shows – Immortal and tabú – have been stamped strongly with the style of director Firenza Guidi, so will be interesting to see what new line they take here.
