Cirque Bijou and Nutkhut are currently working together to create Source, a new participation-led outdoor show that will be presented in summer 2014 at the six partners of the outer London venue consortium Circulate.
The company are looking for six circus / street artists with a mixture of skills (musical ability and singing a bonus) to join the production. The troupe will be working on a human-powered vehicle that will act as a performance platform and will support slack rope and Chinese pole but not aerial skills.
Following auditions, the devising process will begin in April - May 2014, rehearsals and work with local organisations will take place in June 2014, and then there will be a series of residencies and performances at each of the six Circulate venues August - September 2014.
The fee for the six residencies and shows is £3,600 per artist, with additional money for rehearsals and some participation work.
