Following the European Commission's call for projects involving third country partners (i.e. those not participating fully within the Culture Programme; this time Australia and Canada), the EC has announced the twelve successful projects.
Among those receiving funding is Autopistes: Circus Dissemination, a collaboration between Subtopia/Upplev Botkyrka, the Institut Ramon Llull, La Tohu, and La Granerie which has been awarded 196,000 Euros (43.1% of total project cost).
The project recognises that, in light of the economic crisis, the circulation of circus works is fragile and can't support the many new artists that emerge each year. It therefore focuses on structuring networks between Canada and Northern/Southern Europe that can benefit artistic mobility and the exchange of works between the continents.
