In association with the London International Mime Festival and the National Theatre's Watch This Space Festival, Circus Futures is presenting a one-day conference for promoters, programmers, funders and artists to discuss how to support the making of quality performance work in circus and outdoor arts in the UK. The event will take place 14 January 2015 at the National Theatre's Temporary Theatre on London's South Bank.
The day offers the opportunity to discuss a number of topics including the type of assistance festivals and venues can offer to emerging and established companies, case studies on working partnerships that have enabled performances of quality to flourish – and a few honest moments about what to do when the gap in perceptions of quality between companies and promoters widely differ.
The conference will open with 10am refreshments for a 10.30am start. Tickets are £50 with subsidised places available for artists. Delegates are also encouraged to view Black Regent by CircusNext laureates Knights of the Invisible on 13 January 2015. (Ask about the ticket deal for delegates when booking.)
