As part of Circulate, a three-year strategic touring programme focusing on outdoor arts in outer London boroughs, artsdepot is offering a £3000 commission for a company to create a scratch performance of a new outdoor work.
The commission is intended to support the creation of a 15 minute scratch of a family friendly performance. This will then be shared summer/autumn 2014 at artsdepot and the other venues in the Circulate consortium – Millfield Theatre, TARA Arts, Harrow Arts Centre, The Albany, and Watermans.
Applications must be for new projects that haven't received any previous research support; in addition to the fee artsdepot will provide mentoring and training for the selected company.
In 2015 there may be an opportunity for the scratch commission to receive further investment from the Circulate consortium to realise a full production.
