    Square Peg Contemporary Circus

Square Peg Contemporary Circus are currently looking for energetic, multi-skilled aerial performers to join the company and work on the redevelopment and 2014 tour of their show Rime.

The company are looking for two people: one female performer specialising in corde lisse, and one performer (either male or female) specialising in any other static equipment made mainly of rope. Some swinging or spinning might be possible, but the show's rigging configuration has some limitations.

Both performers should be happy to create or adapt their acts/routines to the show and to work rigged at heights of up to 9.5m. They must be comfortable with learning detailed choreography, physical acting and devising (dance training is an advantage).

Square Peg are especially interested in people who can play handheld musical instruments, and who have other circus skills such as Chinese pole, partner/group acrobatics, etcetera. Due to the nature of the work, they are not interested in the manipulation of very small objects / close-up work, anything that requires a very smooth floor surface, or burlesque/cabaret style performances.

Rehearsals will begin in mid-January (date tbc) with the first performance in early March. The show will then tour in the UK until the end of September.

To express interest send a current CV and showreel to tim@cirquit.org.uk Auditions will take place in London on 9 December 2013 with the possibility of a callback on 13 December.
