As part of its ongoing activities as a co-organiser of the European project CircusNext, Circus Futures has arranged two sessions for UK promoters interested in the creation and programming of contemporary circus: a showing of a new work-in-progress in Great Yarmouth, and a meeting / discussion day in London.
Great Yarmouth: CircusNext shortlisted artist Darragh McLoughlin will soon be in residency at Great Yarmouth's Drill House in order to work on a scratch performance of his project Fragments of a Mind. There's an opportunity for UK promoters to see the scratch on 9 April 2014 at The Drill House before it goes on to be presented in Neerpelt to the CircusNext jury. For more information and to book for this event see here.
London: In association with artsdepot, Circus Futures are hosting a promoters session 2-6pm on 16 April at the North Finchley venue. Aimed at promoters who are interested in programming UK and international circus work, the event will be followed by a performance of Sisters' Clockwork – presented at artsdepot as part of the Roundhouse's CircusFest. Promoters who attend the discussion session will receive tickets to see the show. More info and book here.
