Oily Cart are looking for a circus practitioner to assist in a series of performances of Something in the Air, their collaboration with Ockham's Razor created for young people aged 3-19 with complex intellectual disabilities or an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Each show is performed for six young people, each with an adult companion, who are seated in suspended nest-chairs and flown among the aerial performers.
Each pair of nest-chairs needs its own ‘Chair Driver’ who will control the height and movement of the chairs, and this is the role Oily Cart are advertising for. Chair Drivers will need to be 18 or over.
Rehearsals will take place 5-23 March, and the show will then tour the UK 27 March - 4 May 2012.
To apply send a CV and cover letter to oilies@oilycart.org.uk explaining why you would like to be involved in this project, and the contact details of two referees. Deadline is 27 January 2012.
