Living Structures, a collective of artists creating performances within large-scale structures that surround their audiences, are looking for three female aerialists to work on their new show Leviathan, a piece loosely based on Herman Melville's novel Moby Dick that takes inspiration from the absolutist aesthetic of Russian Constructivism.
The company are looking for aerialists who have a good singing voice and who are 'able to confidently hold a harmony' as well as having excellent aerial and movement skills. For the successful applicants the project will include three weeks devising / rehearsing in Madrid, and a three-week run in Matadero, Madrid (28 October – 6 December 2012) that includes helping with the get in and get out. Pay is £300 p/w, with transport and accommodation covered by the company. There will then be further performances in London April / May 2013 (exact dates TBC) which candidates will need to be free for. The pay for this phase is also £300 p/w.
