Circus Space are recruiting a creative team for a large-scale Olympic project, to be delivered as part of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay and planned to take place in towns and cities across England and Scotland over 70 days from 19 May 2012.
The project will involve a cast of 24 performers and incorporate elements of street theatre, carnival, dance, acrobatics and circus to 'create a series of spectacular and memorable interactions with audiences across the country'.
Circus Space are seeking expressions of interest from directors, choreographers, street theatre makers and circus creators who have experience of working on (preferably leading on) a multi‐disciplinary creative project, of creating outdoor performance, of creating work that invites participation from audiences of all ages, of working in collaboration with the corporate and commercial sector, and who can work to deadlines and commnicate a 'vision', etcetera.
