Hmm, well, so. To coincide with the Royal Albert Hall showing of Cirque du Soleil's Totem – which, almost unbelievably, is directed by Robert Lepage – Royal Holloway are holding an afternoon colloquium to pick at some of the theory behind the piece.
There'll be presentations titled ‘Cirque du Soleil: The ethos of staging the individual of exception’ and ‘Images of indigeneity in Robert Lepage and Cirque du Soleil’s Totem’, plus a panel discussion by a group of academics responding to the production.
It takes place at London's Centre for Creative Collaboration on 26 January 2011, 2.30-5.30pm. Contact karen.fricker@rhul.ac.uk if you'd like to attend, or see here for more.
