An autobiographical show performed by three hand-to-hand bases (Peter Åberg, Mattias Andersson and Matias Salmenaho) who lost their romantic and professional partners, Undermän is a touching piece about the (platonic) love between a trio of burly ultra-masculine men. When Sideshow saw it early last year it was a brilliant piece—heartfelt and courageous but balanced just enough by some lightly played self-irony and a sense of the production's roughness. Of all the shows at CircusFest, this is the one to see.
