It's good news all round to see circus programmed under the Dance Umbrella, and especially as the piece in question is Mathurin Bolze and Hedi Thabet's Ali, which Sideshow saw a few years ago when it appeared at the London International Mime Festival. If you've seen Bolze's Du Goudron et des Plumes, then Ali is almost the opposite: a stripped down piece on a bare stage, with one hanging light, that plays with the visual metaphors of two men who have three legs between them. Note that tickets are just £5 (it's a short piece) and come free with some Umbrella shows.
