Ockham’s Razor are looking for four highly skilled circus performers to join their new creation in 2015-16.
The company are looking for two very strong bases (male or female) specialising in one or more of the following: acrobalance / Russian bar / banquine / perch; one medium base/flyer specialising in one or more of the following: acrobalance / banquine / Chinese pole; and one small flyer (female) specialising in one or more of the following: tightwire / Russian bar / Chinese pole / perch / banquine. Additional aerial basing/flying skills are desirable for all.
The new show 'involves a wide skill set and explores movement possibilities on and around all sorts of poles in all sorts of configurations'. Beyond technical ability, the company are seeking multiskilled, versatile performers with physical theatre experience, a strong stage presence, and an interest in work that explores the stories naturally inherent in circus. All applicants must be based in the European Union.
Creation for the new show will take place over two periods – January-April 2015 and September 2015 – followed by UK performances from October 2015. The London premiere is confirmed for January 2016, followed by a national and international tour.
