Organised by the City Circ network, Circus Now is a three-day London showcase open to programmers and producers who want to learn more about UK contemporary circus.
The showcase will mix work-in-progress project presentations with pitch sessions, full-length shows (three in all: So & So Circus Theatre's Backgammon for Beginners, Ockham's Razor's Not Until We Are Lost, and NoFit State Circus' Bianco), networking sessions, panel discussions focusing on circus-specific marketing and audience development, and an arts market where delegates can talk informally with circus artists.
The showcase runs over three days, 17-19 April 2013, with events spread across five host venues – The Roundhouse, Jacksons Lane, The Albany, artsdepot, and Stratford Circus. Sideshow will also cover the showcase and host an online archive of its activities.
The showcase is open to both UK and international programmers and producers, and is free to attend. To register your interest e-mail Flora Herberich on citycirc@mail.com or see here for more information.
