Following the reading and evaluation of 134 applications from artists and companies around Europe, and after a judges meeting held in Paris from 15-17 January, the support scheme CircusNext has announced a shortlist of fifteen projects:

For the next step in the selection process these fifteen artists and companies will be invited to Neerpelt 21-26 April 2014 to present extracts of their work and answer questions in front of the CircusNext jury. Seven artistic teams will be selected as CircusNext laureates and will receive production support, residencies, artistic mentoring and a small grant, developing their projects ready for a public presentation in December 2014 at the Théâtre de la Cité Internationale in Paris.
