ACE National Portfolio Announced

Arts Council England announced its national portfolio this morning, and, putting aside the grim prevailing overall strategy of disinvestment, circus has been dealt a pretty good hand, with steadyish or increased funding for the old RFOs (missing are Company FZ, who chose not to reapply), and NoFit State Circus and Theatre Bristol new on the books. Here's the stats for the circus and circus-friendly organisations, given as [Revenue Funding 2012/13], [cash percentage change] ([percentage change in real terms adjusting for inflation]):

Crying Out Loud: £210,000, 183.5% (158.2%)
Theatre Bristol: £106,368, n/a

Venues

Jacksons Lane: £129,000, -2.4% (-11.1%)
Roundhouse: £969,097, -2.3% (11%)

Schools and Training

Albert & Friends Instant Circus: £87,933, -2.3% (-11%)
The Circus Space: £339, 897, 5% (-4.4%)
Circomedia: £105,938, -2.3% (-11%)
Greentop: £70,000, 241.2% (210.6%)

Artists and Companies

Mimbre: £125,048, 39% (26.5%)
Ockham's Razor: £180,000, 200% (173.2%)
Upswing: £115,000, 91.7% (74.5%)
NoFit State Circus: £200,000, n/a

Festivals

London International Mime Festival: £200,000, 17.5% (7%)
Greenwich + Docklands Festivals: £250,000, 46.6% (33.4%)
